My new and problematic audio interface

To hell with the problems with my newly-acquired MOTU Ultralite MK3!

I’m getting this VERY high-pitched “BLEEEEP” followed by audio dropouts.
If that happened on stage thru PA, it’d blow everyone’s eardrums for real as it’s painful enough in this room.

And yeah, of course I didn’t Google for problems with this soundcard until I bought it.
I should’ve.

I know the problem does NOT have to do with:
-the computer being either PC/Mac
-using USB or Firewire … it happens with both
-not having the latest drivers: everything is as up-to-date as it can be
-heating issues (I think): it’s resting on my desk on its side to ensure proper ventilation, so the air is flowing as freely as it possibly can.

I think it does have to do with CPU-load-related issues:
It’s happened to me FIVE times today that while Live is playing and I’m rendering an audio file on my audio editor (TwistedWave), the BLEEEEP happens when I start the rendering process.

FAAAAAKKKK.

Fuck – I really thought this audio interface was the shit.
Now, it seems it’s just shit because of this.

Help me out and I’ll buy you a donut, I swear.
